Gym WP is one of the top apps for gym training with a vast catalog of workout routines and exercises based on our physical goals.
Within the fitness app world, we can categorize GYM WP as the workout app oriented towards users who do not have the knowledge to create their workout routine. It fulfills basic training record functions, offers a great variety of routines, and provides graphs with necessary information, making all its properties allow it to compete with the most popular training log apps.
However, it is not a completely accessible app for everyone, as it has two versions: Free and Paid. In this article, we will focus on both versions, but mainly on the free version, as in the training log app market, competition offers the app for free.
The vast catalog of routines in Gym WP:
When I think of a training app that offers a vast catalog of routines and exercises that I have tried, I mainly think of two: Fitness & Bodybuilding and Gym WP. Having tried both apps, I undoubtedly choose Gym WP, not only because it offers a great catalog of exercises like Fitness & Bodybuilding, but because Gym WP offers a high variety of routines adapted to your goals compared to its competitors.
Now, being objective, having a great advantage such as offering professional routines as a service. This service can only be obtained by payment, meaning in its free version, you will not have a single routine made by professionals. You will have to create one yourself using the vast variety of exercises the platform offers.
In addition to its great catalog of training routines, it also offers innovative and useful functionalities. For those who have tried the app, they know what I'm talking about, the muscular fatigue control.
Muscular Fatigue Functionality
As I was testing Gym WP, what impressed me the most was the muscle fatigue control feature - an innovative idea that 90% of workout logging apps don't have, but which is incredibly useful for achieving our goals at the gym or at home. For those who don't understand what this muscle fatigue functionality is, it's simply a feature that shows you how your trained muscles are doing based on your workouts: fatigued, weakened, recovered, or recovering. This is a great feature for creating the perfect workout routine and understanding how we're working our muscles.
But enough about muscle fatigue - if you want to learn more about it, try it out for yourself with a routine you typically use on the Gym WP app and see how you're working your muscles. This feature is available on the free version, so there's no need to pay anything.
Body Measurements Tracking and Customizable Workout Sharing
To wrap up all the functionalities that surprised me, I'd like to mention these last two: body measurements tracking and the ability to share your workouts in a completely personalized way.
Imagine being able to keep track of all your progress through photos and information about your body measurements on an app. Gym WP maintains a complete record of your progress at a muscular, fat, and even bone level to help you achieve your fitness goals based on recommended health guidelines.
Sharing your workouts through an image has never been easier than with Gym WP. You can use the workout information provided by Gym WP to show the world in a visually appealing way. It's perfect for your Pinterest or Instagram account, so you can showcase your workouts to your followers!
All of these features make Gym WP an app that everyone should try out to see if it fits their training goals. For me, it was a great discovery that I'm proud to have installed and tried.
Free Version vs Paid Version Comparison of Gym WP
One of the most controversial topics to discuss is whether it's worth downloading Gym WP's free or paid version. In this article, I will share my perspective on each version.
Gym WP's Free Version
Everyone who has tried Gym WP has probably used its free version, which is essentially a workout note app with some innovative features. Like any workout note app that I've reviewed, each one has unique features. In the case of Gym WP, its features like muscle fatigue tracking, a vast exercise database, body measurement recording, and sharing your workouts through attractive images make it a competitive option in the workout note app industry.
As with any workout tracking app that I've reviewed, each one has unique features that make them stand out. In the case of GYM WP, its features such as muscle fatigue control, a vast catalog of exercises, body measurement tracking, and the ability to share your workouts with attractive images make it a competitive option in the workout tracking industry. To learn more, check out my review.
Gym WP's Paid Version
As someone with almost a year of training experience, I know the fundamentals of a good workout and where to find exercises online. Therefore, the paid version of Gym WP, which offers an extensive collection of workout routines and complete statistics, is not something that I personally need.
However, if you're a beginner, have no experience, or just want someone or in this case, an app, to do the work for you, then Gym WP is your app. It can save you a lot of time in formulating your workout routine and searching for exercises. So the paid version can be really useful for those who are not as experienced with the fitness world.
Gym WP claims to be a workout app. From my point of view, a workout app should at least offer free workouts, which Gym WP does not. To turn Gym WP into a workout app, you have to pay. Therefore, I have concluded that the free version is a workout note app, while the paid option is a workout app.
Basic Features of Gym WP as a Workout Note App
For those who are unfamiliar with the fitness world and specifically training tracking apps, understanding these features is crucial for maintaining an accurate training log.
In this case, most of these features are offered in the free version, so you can use them if you're not convinced by the paid option:
Basic training log, maximum of 6 exercises per workout, recording of repetitions and weight (Free version). Possibility to create limited supersets of 3 exercises (Free version). Weight, repetition, and time statistics per exercise.
Large free catalog of exercises for our personalized routine with all necessary information. From preparation, execution to muscles exercised. Moreover, if you can't find your exercise, you can add it yourself.
Training history saved in calendar and exercises.
Reminders to train at a specific time.
Limited calendar to save custom workouts, saved when you train and with what you trained, but no general training statistics are provided.
Limited general statistics, only knowing exercises and training (Free version). While in the paid version, we have data analysis of time, sets, repetitions, and load.
Routine comparison only in the paid version.
Without a doubt, these are features that most training tracking apps have, so GYM WP meets the minimum requirements and even surpasses them by offering more comprehensive graphs and innovative and necessary functionalities for a good workout.
If you have a favorite training tracking app, you can use GYM WP to take advantage of certain features that your favorite app doesn't offer.
How does GYM WP compare to GymNotes?
In every review of a workout tracking app, I usually compare the app in question (GYM WP) with the app I have developed myself, which is GymNotes.
I always compare both apps, but in this case, GYM WP and GymNotes target different audiences. While GYM WP focuses on being a workout app, i.e., focused on creating routines for gym novices or people without knowledge of the fitness world, GymNotes focuses purely on workout tracking in a competitive environment.
To make a fair comparison, I'll focus on the workout tracking features of each app.
GymNotes vs. Gym WP Comparison
As I mentioned earlier, GymNotes is an app focused on complete workout tracking and geared towards competition among friends or gym-goers. GYM WP does not offer any workout incentive system like GymNotes does. The personality of GymNotes is not to be a simple workout tracking app but also your workout companion that motivates you to achieve your goals.
GYM WP does not offer any motivation to workout; it simply provides you with the tools to have a good workout tracking system, but does not incentivize you to work out practically.
Additionally, GYM WP does not allow you to share your workouts with your friends, but GymNotes does, and through a simple link or QR code. Forget about having to share your workout routine by rewriting it; you can even pass your workout tracking records to your friends through a link if you want.
At GymNotes, we pride ourselves on our originality. We want to create a competitive environment to build a community, and for that, we are improving the app to suit the needs of all types of people, from novices to experts. For those who are not familiar with the fitness world, GymNotes will serve as a motivator to achieve their training goals. We do not yet offer routines created by professionals like GYM WP does, but the functionality of a competitive workout tracking app is what defines us.
GYM WP doesn't mean that it's not original, on the contrary, features like muscle fatigue control and body measurement tracking are something that GymNotes currently does not have. However, that doesn't mean that GymNotes won't have these properties. GymNotes updates every month with important new features, in fact, this month we created the system for sharing workouts through a link or QR code, we added graphs, new languages, and even the ability to import and export data.
GymNotes' pace is fast and disruptive, so if you want to be part of our community, don't hesitate to download our app, currently available on the Play Store.
In conclusion, GYM WP is one of the best training apps because it offers a wide range of workout routines and exercises. Additionally, it is useful as a training log app, has innovative features, and a simple and attractive design perfect for new users of this type of app. Essentially, if you are a beginner, don't know how to create a workout routine, or simply don't want to spend the time creating one yourself, then GYM WP is what you need. There is no other app that offers the same qualities as this app currently on the market. So if you're hesitant to download it, give it a try, take a look at it, and then let us know how your experience was.
